This coat earns CAT’s Cold Blocker™ Plus rating, ensuring warmth along with its wind- and water-resistance. Dual-layer storm flaps combined with waterproof zippers seal cold and water out, while soft microfleece lines the collar and prevents zipper teeth from biting. A removable hood offers the option of additional protection for the coldest of days, and a generous cut at the rear hem keeps body heat from slipping through cracks. Adjustable tab closures at the wrist with hidden storm cuffs keep chilly winds and rain from creeping up your sleeves. My friend, a senior tribal leader in the cloudforest highlands (elevation 6500+ ft.) of Enga province, Papua New Guinea, wanted me to being him a warm coat (August 2023). After much research, I chose the CAT Men's Insulated Work Parka. He loves it, and now other senior members of the tribe want one, too. The brand name was much appreciated, but more important is the warmth and water-resistance performance CAT provides.

Love the jacket but pockets are in a odd spot, little different from what I’m used to. but over all nice jacket, warm and comfortable. Was able to try in zero degree weather and kept me warm!

Insulated Work Parka by CAT is a very comfortable and well made coat! It's not the warmest coat but it is definitely a nice winter work coat. My initial purchase of this coat had a stitching/seam defect but after contacting customer service they were able to remedy my situation very quickly and painlessly. No hassles or jumping through hoops. Shout out to customer service for a fantastic customer service experience! After receiving my replacement coat I can say its a great coat, fashionable, well constructed, very comfortable, roomy and warm. The zippers are a nice touch. I had the heavy insulated parka before and I found that when I wore that particular coat to work that the buttons got caught on everything. Zippers not only keep my items inside safe but they also don't get caught on anything. The light reflective parts of the coat are a nice safety feature. It is water/wind resistant but remember its not proof so if you get caught in heavy rain don't expect to stay dry but light rain/drizzle you'll be fine. Also the option of having a hood or removing it is a nice touch! Personally I like having a hood in case of rain/wind but I know some people don't like hoods so being able to quickly and easily remove it is great. It's priced reasonable but I got a very nice deal on mine on Black Friday, if you catch it on sale, buy it! You won't regret it! I purchased a large size and its very roomy. If it helps, I'm about 5'10", between 160-170 pounds with an athletic build. I probably could fit into a medium but I prefer to have a bit more room in case I wear something heavier like a hoodie or I'm layering underneath to ensure warmth. The only con I have with the coat is that it is made in China but isn't everything anymore?
