Returns
If you are not satisfied with your Caterpillar purchase, simply return the item within 60 days of the order date.
- Items being returned must be in their original condition with the tags attached to the garment. Items cannot be in washed or worn in condition.
- The original shipping charge cannot be refunded.
- A $4.95 return shipping fee will be deducted from the refund total and applied to your original form of payment.
- We only accept returns for garments purchased through the Caterpillar online store (catworkwear.com). If you have a concern regarding an item purchased from an independent retailer please contact them directly. For shoes or boots please contact www.catfootwear.com at 866-699-7375 or 866-699-7375.
To begin the online return process, visit our Returns & Exchanges page. Our printable return shipping label will include tracking. You will need your order number and shipping zip code to start the return process. If you don’t have your order number, please email customerservice@catworkwear.com or call 866-930-4CAT(4228) so we can provide it to you.
Please allow 10-15 business days once your return has been received at our warehouse for credits to be posted to your account. They are subject to your bank’s processing time.
Exchanges

- There are no shipping or processing fees charged for an exchange.
- We only accept exchanges for garments purchased through the Caterpillar online store (catworkwear.com). If you have a concern regarding an item purchased from an independent retailer please contact them directly.
You have 60 days from the order date to initiate an exchange. Online exchanges will only be accepted for a different color or size of the same item if the new size is the same price as the originally purchased item. If you need to exchange for a different item, please email customerservice@catworkwear.com or call 866-930-4CAT(4228) for additional assistance.
Through our online exchange portal, you’ll order the new color or size at no charge and get a free return shipping label. When the return is received, we will process your exchange and ship the replacement item. Once you receive the return shipping label, please ship the return as soon as possible. We are unable to reserve items and there is a chance the replacement item may be sold out by the time we receive the return. If the replacement item is out of stock, we will refund you for the original item. We will keep your exchange open for 30 days from the date the exchange is initiated. If we don't receive the return package within that time, the exchange order will be canceled. If your exchange order has been cancelled, you may still return your item for a refund.
Damaged or Defective Items
If you receive a damaged or defective item, contact customer service immediately so that we may assist you in covering the cost of returning the item. If you do not contact Customer Service prior to returning the item, you are responsible for all return shipping charges. After 60 days, if your garment proves to be defective in workmanship or materials in normal wear (excluding stains), call customer service for help in exchanging the item.
Caterpillar reserves the right to refuse returns of items that appear to have been worn, are not in good condition, are without tags or are no longer carried in stock. Caterpillar may limit returns if we believe a Customer is abusing our generous return policy.
In-Store returns
We only accept returns for garments purchased through the Caterpillar online store (www.CatWorkwear.com). If you have a concern regarding an item purchased from an independent retailer please contact them directly.
Lifetime warranty
At Caterpillar Workwear we make our clothing tough, but nothing is indestructible. All our products are fully warranted against manufacturer’s defects in materials & workmanship for the practical lifetime of the product. Examples of manufacturing defects include stitching coming undone, seam tape failure or malfunctioning zippers and snaps. Wear and tear damages from will not be covered under warranty. Examples of wear and tear include punctures or tears from sharp objects, excessive fabric wear or abrasion due to heavy use and staining. If the damage is determined to be caused by a manufacturing defect, we will replace the item at no cost to you. Caterpillar Workwear reserves the right to determine if the product failure is due to manufacturer’s defects in materials or workmanship or if the product failed due to wear and tear.
